How verification works

Profiles show only the checks our team has actually completed. A profile with no checks is labelled “Not yet verified”.

✓ Phone confirmed

We confirmed the artisan can be reached on the phone number we hold for them.

✓ Identity checked

A member of the iCraft Africa team checked the artisan's identity evidence.

✓ Craft/workshop checked

A team member confirmed the artisan makes what their profile says, through a workshop visit or a credible local reference.

Verification confirms only the specific checks listed. It is not a guarantee of the quality of an artisan's work, of a product's authenticity, or of any transaction. Agree prices, timelines and payment directly with the artisan.
