Who we are

iCraft Africa is a platform that helps artisans show their work and be found by customers. Our pilot is with shoe makers in Aba, Nigeria.

What we collect about artisans

Your name, workshop name, craft, city, a description of your work, photos you give us, your products and prices, and your phone or WhatsApp number.

We create or publish a profile only with your agreement, and we record when and how you agreed.

Your phone number and workshop address are shown publicly only if you choose that. They are hidden by default.

If our team carries out a verification check, we record which check, the date, who did it and a short internal note. We do not keep copies of identity documents on the platform.

What we collect about customers

When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, your phone number or email, and what you asked for. This goes to the artisan you contacted and to the iCraft Africa team so the request can be answered.

If you leave a review, it is shown with your first name and last initial only.

Visits and activity

We count profile views, shares, WhatsApp and call clicks, QR scans and searches so artisans and our team can see what is working.

These are counts only. We do not build profiles of visitors, and artisans never see who viewed their page.

Who sees your information

Published artisan profiles are public. Enquiries are seen by the artisan and our team. Internal verification notes are seen by our team only.

We use trusted service providers to host the site and store data. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

Artisans can edit their profile, unpublish it, or ask us to remove it. Withdrawing your agreement takes the profile off the public site.

Anyone can ask us what information we hold about them, and ask us to correct or delete it.

How to reach us

To correct or remove your information, or to ask a question about privacy, send us a request. We will confirm who you are and act within 30 days.
